Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actor and producer. In Mexico she started her career by playing the character of Teresa in the telenovela (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), where she was nominated for an Ariel Award. The actress soon made her mark in Hollywood with roles in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's role as Frida Kahlo, a painter, in Frida (2002) which is a biographical film she wrote and produced, earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. The actress also won her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. In subsequent years, Hayek focused more on producing while starring in action-oriented films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
