Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - is a Canadian and American musician and singer. Over 20 albums were released by her. DiFranco categorizes her music as folk-rock and alternative. However, it contains influences such as punk, hip-hop and jazz. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as the feminist's icon and Grammy-winning artist is considered to be the first pioneer of DIY music. She was one of the very first musicians to start the label she created in the year 1990. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a former student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were students at the same school.
