Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight A grades in all her A-levels. Speaking about her Emmerdale character, Coleman revealed that she regrets that she did not have a traditional University experience. Coleman played as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival in a troupe called In Yer Space, which she performed in while at school. The show also received a positive reception. They awarded her with a prestigious award for her performance. In the course of auditioning at drama schools Coleman won the part of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman got two nominations in 2007. At the British Soap Awards she was selected as the Best Newcomer. Likewise, at the National Television Awards she was named the Most Popular Newcomer. In 2009, at the British Soap Awards she was nominated in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman was also nominated as Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. On the 21st March 2012, Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat spoke at a news conference that Coleman will be playing the role of the Doctor's friend alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat chose her for the role because she proved to be the most effective with Smith and could speak faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's participated in TV and film projects. She has spent more time in films than on TV. Eva is well-known for her role as Doctor. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. The former gave Eva two nominations for the 'Daytime Emmy.' She also got to show off her artistic side by performing music. Eva as well as acting as an actress, is an entrepreneur as well as a charitable worker. Eva has three husbands and an infant from the third.
