Dua

Dua lipa is a English artist and performer born August 22, 1995, at London United Kingdom. She signed a contract with Warner Bros Records after a couple of years of work and dropped her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. The album climbed to the top spot at No. 3 on the U.K. Charts. There were eight singles that were released, including Be the 1 I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules. In the United States it peaked as sixth in the charts. The album, which has now been certified platinum in a variety of countries across the world was awarded the two Brit Awards (in the year of 2018) for British Female Single Artist and British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was conceived at the age of 18 in London by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). Her maternal grandmother is the reason she has Bosnian descent. It is possible to trace her family's roots back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Gjin and Rina are her siblings. The musical influence of Lipa's came from her father who was the lead singer and guitarist of Kosovan The rock band Oda. Her father played music at home, and included songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa started singing at the age of five. The Sylvia Young Theater School was the first place she began to sing when she turned nine. Lipa performed If I Ain't gone You with Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. In 2014 Lipa was signed to a contract to Warner Bros. Records. The singer released her debut single New Love in August of 2015.
